You’ve booked your trip with Zafira, now what?

All the heavy lifting is over, and now it’s time to sit back, get some sun, breathe in the ocean air, enjoy a cold beverage, and relax!

Upon your arrival, a member of our team will welcome you to ensure a smooth transition from shore to sea. We’ll collect any remaining balances, go over a few details, and answer any other questions you might have. Our crew will come and collect your shoes, get you on board our dinghy, and head out to Zafira.

Once on Zafira, you’ll be greeted with a welcome beverage, or your choice of bottled water, Coke, Sprite, juice, national beers (and a non-alcoholic option), Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, Prosecco, or a cocktail from our mostly full bar. We use natural juices and don’t make batch cocktails, so if you would like a margarita, pina colada, rum punch (on the rocks or frozen!), give our crew a little extra time to prepare them just right for you.

After a mandatory safety briefing, sit back and enjoy the next four hours on board Zafira while you chase wildlife on the open sea. You’ll sail for about an hour and then pull into one of the area's many coves or low-tide beaches. We don’t like to go into the same cove every trip, and we do our best not to go where all the other catamarans/boats are to give you more room to swim & explore. However, sometimes the conditions of the weather & water dictate where the best places for water activities are.

Enjoy 1 – 1.5 hours in the water, either snorkeling, using the stand-up paddle boards, a kayak, or leisurely doing nothing on a float. And if you yell ‘BOMBA’ back to Zafira, watch a cold Imperial, Silver, or Pilsen come your way from above! Don’t try to catch it, let it hit the water and float back up right at your fingertips. Now that’s service!

Once you hear the conch shell blow, you’ll know the bite-sized pinchos are hot off the grill and ready for you. Freshly made guacamole, pico de gallo, and our proprietary bean dip & chips are provided as well to round out the bocas before we head out and cruise the ocean before your return. An afternoon cruise will catch one of Costa Rica’s unforgettable sunsets, while a morning cruise will leave plenty of daylight left for additional afternoon activities.
